In today’s digital world, the way we generate and experience science is strongly influenced by audiovisual media representations. Moving images are powerful tools and have the potential to share scientific knowledge in novel ways. At the same time, with rapid advancements of technology, it is easier than ever to create, share, and discuss scientific research. But how can scientists gain the theoretical and technical background knowledge necessary to harvest the potential of film?
And how can they productively use the process of filmmaking for communication skills usually “overlooked”?

In our video workshops, we share our knowledge of audiovisual storytelling and help scientists successfully create and disseminate their own media products. Our workshops are led by the belief that filmmaking can be a powerful science communication training tool for students, academics, and public relations workers.
